Overview
RECESS combines the startup and brand activation opportunities of SXSW mixed with the educational qualities of TED and cutting-edge video content of VICE. Our goal is to help brands create content and experiences to reach college millennials. Playground is an interactive networking event where students can discover and engage with the coolest new products, brands, and startups right in the heart of their campus. Study Hall is like Ted Talks for college students. Our speakers share their story and experience with students to inspire them to become the next generation of world changing entrepreneurs. Some notable speakers on past tours were Tony Conrad, Founder and CEO of about.me and Diplo, artist & founder of Mad Decent. RECESS Pitch is Shark Tank blended with American Idol for College Start ups. The most disruptive student-run startups from around the country are flown to Las Vegas to represent their schools in the RECESS finals. The concert at the end of the day brings together students to celebrate a day of networking, discovery, and inspiration. Previous artists have included Diplo, Paper Dimond, Kaskade, and more.
